2021-01-02 06:26:56 +0000 UTCThe wedding ring reveal is interesting. Googly eyes may be a twisted guy, but even he is capable of love. Same way with Nishiki, dude was an asshole, but he truly loves Kimi. Like you say, there are good Ghouls and bad Ghouls, same way there are good humans and bad humans. But even the bad people in this series seem to be loved.

The only real issue I've heard from people about the other seasons is that it wasn't accurate to the manga. They're still really enjoyable to watch if you don't read the manga. Just my 2 cents.

2021-01-01 18:49:33 +0000 UTCTouka was shocked by the ring, because she realizes she killed someone's husband and that its possible he may have been a parent himself. Mado aka Googley Eyes was a sadist towards ghouls, but he was once a more noble guy as he despised rank chasers and only wished to hunt ghouls from a desire to protect people. An event happened where his sense of justice turned into pure hatred and revenge. Essentially he's a wounded man projecting his pain unto those he sees as monsters. I won't go into detail on what happened to him, as I don't know if season 1 covers it or not.
