I love the further hints that Ami is interested in Ryuuji, simply because of what it says about her. She's got the attention of everyone in the school, and all of them practically worship her. She enjoys that; she likes it when they all praise her for being so "mature" and "grown-up". And yet, all the same, she knows it's not real. And Ryuuji has seen the bitchy side of her personality; he knows how waspish she can be. And yet, he never really holds that against her. He doesn't put her on a pedestal, and while he's generally not rude, he's also willing to call her out when she's being a bitch. Like I said a few episodes ago, she's surround by people praising how much of an "adult" she is, and yet her thoughts are stuck on the one who scolded her for being childish and not taking care of herself properly, and then gave her advice on how to do just that. I just find that amusing.
