2021-01-19 17:39:27 +0000 UTCFunnily enough, Miyata's dad thinks that Miyata is easily twice as talented as himself, contradicting many other people who have seen both of them box. Just wanted to add that, especially because I believe that Miyata has a greater future ahead of him than his father.

He's also probably the most unchill character in the series xD In regards to calling Miyata's father a "second-class boxer, who failed to become a champion", he was most likely aiming to provoke more than anything. Miyata's dad was the defending Japanese featherweight champion and 6 times defending OPBF champion. Who knows what might have happened if his jaw hadn't shattered in his seventh title defense, as he was arguably more talented than his son is.
