Takumura taught Ippo that Hayami is nothing compared to him, half-assed punches are laughable to Ippo now, after having trained to dodge Jason's hook.

2021-01-18 15:21:04 +0000 UTCYeah, I've noticed in a lot of anime the whole 'genius v regular guy' thing sometimes doesn't make sense. Here Ippo has a year of training verse people with their whole lives and he's pushing through, sure he's not a genius but that means something. If Ippo had the same amount of time in training I feel like he'd be steamrolling.
