There's an old Japanese saying the nail that stands up gets hammered down. Unlike America there's isn't really a culture that value individualism. Hence why there's so much pressure to conform, fit in and do well in school. Kitamura turning down his presidency and dying his hair would've really been a blow to his otherwise clean academic record. Which has a lot to do with why his dad hit him. Doesn't make it any less fucked up though. Also yeah Kano is a born politician if she really becomes an Astronaut she'll probably be the one giving answers at the press conference before launch. The fight between her and Taiga is brutal, I'm honestly of the opinion that two women fighting will be more vicious than any fight between two men. I don't know what it is, there's just something.
