Had to read the light novel to find out what that orange ball was that the cashier threw at the assailant. Turns out, it's an anti-criminal paintball. Releases a powerful smell AND it's really hard to wash off. The idea being, it becomes really easy to discover the perp after they've been hit by one of those.

So, all of my thoughts will be my thoughts as I will not have any future knowledge as to what happens. So, I can't help but think the neighbor chick is the one that was at the beginning of the last episode that was reporting to the church dudes. But does she have a thing for Maou or is that just a cover? I don't know but I can't wait to find out.
