I’m also curious whether you plan to continue with seasons 3 and 4 at some point, sure the animation in season 3 was lacking, but the story is still pretty amazing imo

Just curious if it's in the plans to continue this series. People are being entirely overdramatic over the animation, which is fine. Still better animation than a large number of series you've watched.

Not sure what you're referring to. I gave information, nothing else. He mentioned that people told him that the animation in season 3 was worse, which is just the tip of the iceberg. You can say that about One Punch Man season 2, but 7ds season 3 has a lot more issues, and he should be prepared for when he watches it. Which is not determined by any post here, but by the quality of season 4 and whether he will get any requests to continue after it comes out.

Not true. I switched from the manga to anime only at the fairy and giant kings tournament in season 2, but I noticed a significant loss of interest in season 3. It felt like we were watching a whole season of nothing. I was bored. I know each season takes up roughly the same amount of manga chapters but I feel like 3 and what will become 4 could have been simplified into 1 season and done without the backstory of so many inconsequential characters.

Yeah if Curtis enjoyed this then he should definitely continue the series i dont think hes as put off by derpy animation as other people i mean he grew up with Steamboat Willie right ( i kid youre not that old are you?) so some subpar animation isnt gonna kill him like theres that one episode of champloo that i despise the animation but its still a great episode

I've posted something similar as a response before, but I'm gonna try to summarize the issues season 3 of 7DS has: - The animation quality varies somewhere between "Okay" and "Let's count the frames, shall we?" Some characters have often also been put little effort in to draw them in many scenes. - The censorship varies somewhere between "white blood" and "I can't even see the picture", depending on the version you watch (there are various reports on this; I watched it on Netflix and sometimes 2/3 of the screen was just black...) - Emotional scenes got completely left out (the anime was rushed) and Gowther's backstory gets butchered - thus, the reason why he's the goat's sin of lust makes only minimal sense in the anime (which is sad, since it's a beautiful story) - What is perhaps the most anticipated fight in the entire series is pretty much reduced to a Looney Tunes brawl, with one person swinging about his weapon, the other person not moving at all, smoke coming out of nowhere to obscure the fact that it's basically 3 repeating frames, etc... there are numberous issues with that fight There are a bunch of other small things that were problematic, due to it being so rushed, but those are the big issues I can come up with on the spot. If someone wants to comment or add anything, feel free. That being said, I do believe you would still enjoy it. For people who have read the manga, it is not that enjoyable IMO, because we need not watch it to experience the story and there's no reason to suffer through it. For someone who has yet to experience the story content of season 3, it's most likely still a good watch. I hope I was able to summarize everyting well enough to prepare you for when (or if) you watch it. I don't think season 4 will be quite as terrible, so it's likely we'll come back to this eventually.

I get that the animation is bad, specifically in action scenes. However, the art direction is still fine, and the characters and story are so great in season 3. I hope he continues on with it at some point, and doesn't just skip it altogether. There were some really big moments in season 3 that really are something special. Even with the sad state of affairs with the animation. (I might have disliked the odd censoring decisions more than the actual terrible animation though.) Regardless, I think he should judge for himself. Rather than just avoiding it because of one issue. No matter how big or small that issue that might be.

"Change in animation" doesn't even begin to describe it.🤦🏻‍♂️ Remember the southpark episode about Lucas and Spielberg raping Indiana Jones? Now multiply that by 100 They raped 7DS in Season 3. Especially that one fight everyone had been waiting for.

i just finished the 3rd season. the animation is okay not the best, but if you like the story its worth a watch at some point!

Glad you enjoyed this Curtis, sadly, season 3 got handed off to a different studio, and the quality takes a serious nose dive, which is why many people were against watching it. Looks like season 4 is being done by that same studio so not having great expectations for that.

Poor Griamore. At some level he knew Fraudrin was just as much his father as Dreyfus. Fraudrin was watching over him for his entire life and as soon as Griamore met the real version of this father figure, he was watching him get brutally murdered.
