Same. I mean, it's not as strong of an arc as the whole aizen arc was, but I don't believe that it deserves all the hate it gets. What I think done that arc in is that we just came off a really strong plot with aizen and that would be a bit hard to top immediately.

Yay Fullbringer Arc is next, it's Canon Curtis! 😁 Also, Aizen beat Ichigo and was actually evolving, he was just temporarily weakened, which is why he was sealed, he is still alive and his entire Soul was remade. Notice, you didn't see the Hogyoku in the final form he took, it is because it fully merged with his soul, along with his Zanpakuto. Now, he is a being that is nearly equal to the Soul King. I'm sure you have seen the next episode, where Aizen is strapped to a chair. He is absolutely immortal now. The reason his forms seemed more and more like a hollow, was because the Hogyoku was merging his Zanpakuto spirit with him. Ichigo did this with the Final Getsuga Tenshou, as you will notice that he no longer has a Zanpakuto.

I mean... sorta, but if you break somebody's will to fight that's a total victory...

Hell, Aizen could tank anything. The Hogyoku could still have allowed him to break Urahara's seal if Aizen really wanted it to.

Well... It might well be more complex than that. (I can say this because the old man has already seen it) Aizen didnt really want to win deep down. If he had really wanted to win, the Hogyoku could have broken whatever was done. It was when he stuttered in his path that Ichigo was allowed to win. Hell, Aizen might have been beatable by Ichigo in his weakened state after using the final getsuga tensho because he wanted to be beaten.

Well... Yes and no. The Ubermensch is not that simple in the versions of Nietzsche not tainted by his Nazi family member. Being an Ubermensch is basically saying that the one who defines your life, the way you live it and the rules you let bind you is yourself and that you take any consequences of your life choices upon yourself. It doesnt necessitate domination or a change of the world if you have no wish to do so. Both can be seen as different representations of an Ubermensch from one position. Urahara has chosen to leave the soul society rather than live under its rules and has lived his life in the real world with the constraints he has chosen. He has also chosen to fight Aizen because he disagrees with what Aizen is doing or believes that the way Aizen is doing it is evil by his chosen ruleset. From that angle both he and perhaps more clearly, Yoruichi are both Ubermensch. In general Nietzsche can often be discounted as being for dominating others and treading on the weak, while that is not at all what he says. His position in "Thus spoke zarathustra" is about the mental shackles that are laid upon us by society and nature. He is for breaking those in order to free people to build their own morals and living life based on those systems that he believes are superior.

Earlier today I realized yesterday's episode was great point for DBZA pun, but unfortunately I didn't think of it then. Cell.. I mean Aizen: HOW? HOW?? HOW DID YOU GET THIS STRONG?! Veg.. Ichigo: I trained hard last hour. Also other pun that would have needed setup in episode 293; Ichigo: Like a soon-to-be broken man once said, "You're either perfect...or you're not me."

Technically Aizen gave up rather than loosing. With the Hogyoku he has a ball that will grant him any wish to do anything as long as his will is strong. But likely at the end it wavered especially with his conversation with Tom Petty basically being someone he respected as a intelligent person and near equal to say something so against what Aizen believes is true. To just go with the status quo instead of wanting change. Aizen is basically the Orochimaru of the series story wise. He is the major big bad from the start and by Midway is defeated. Only for more big bads to appear like the Akatski then Tobi/Madera. So by this point you have about 1 arc left then when the revival of the anime is done hopefully with a simulcast dub since JYB (ichigos VA was insistent of the revival for the fans) the last manga arc will also be done.

And yet, Aizen IS still fused with the Hōgyoku (and maybe with his Zanpakuto as well) and is therefore immortal. I doubt that would be the case if the Hôgyoku had truly rejected him, which is why I agree with Ichigo's sentiment about why Aizen truly lost his powers (next episode, I think). Another explanation might be that Aizen was becoming so much like the soul king in many ways due to his "transcendence" that he subconsciously rejected himself, causing the Hôgyoku to turn him back to normal. Who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

wow, so we finally caught you up to bleach, now we can all be excited about the last arc when it decides to finally be released next year.

A lot of people gloss over Aizen's final words as being Villain Rant #64-B, but there's a lot more there than you might think. This might be the only real look we ever get of Aizen's true feelings without any posturing or manipulation in the way and what we see is a genuinely driven and intelligent man who refuses to fall in line and allow himself and his society to continue stagnating like it has been for the past 1,000+ years. He understands the true nature of the Soul King and, by extension, Soul Society as a whole and he can't stand it. If it weren't for the things he resorted to and the fact that he was placed in direct opposition to the main characters, Aizen might very well have been a revolutionary hero. What he said to Tom Petty about his words being "the argument a loser would make," you can see the rage and disbelief on his face at hearing quite possibly the one man in the world that he truly respects just quietly accepting the status quo. If Aizen was a little less evil or Tom Petty was a little more ambitious, Bleach could be a very different story.

Fun fact, both Aizen and Urahara are based on characters in the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. Aizen represents the Ubermensch, aka the ideal superior man capable of standing above everyone else, and who rejects the idea of a world ruled by a God. The volume where this fight happens is even called, "God is dead", which is one of the core ideas of Nietzsche’s philosophy. Urahara, on the other hand, is based on the figure Nietzsche called the "Last man", someone who realized what the Ubermensch realized, but is not willing to try and change the society the way the Ubermensch, aka Aizen, wanted to, instead allowing the world to remain the way it is, even if he himself feels repulsed by the figurehead the world depends on, this being the Soul King, the Bleach world’s version of God, because he sees it as a necessity. Btw, nice pun in the title of the video, haha! XD

Ichigo vs Aizen: Winner- Urahara. I've seen some reactors that question why Ichigo used the Final Getsugatensho when he was already thrashing Aizen in his base Dangai form. The Hogyoku would have eventually evolved Aizen to a point where even he wouldn't have been able to fight him. As shown, that "demon form" he took was already capable of rendering one of Ichigo's limbs useless. Unfortunately, it still didn't really work out for Ichigo in the end since Aizen still tanked it haha.
