HELP WITH STEIN'S GATE!

Great! :D In between the original and 0 you really should watch a "special" episode called Episode 23β though. You don't need to watch the entire thing, just the last few minutes (since that's the only thing that differentiates it from the "regular" Episode 23). We can go into more detail when you reach that point in the original but since you like to lie a few episodes ahead I felt it could be useful to bring up now.

Yea definitely watch both. Just kinda think of 0 as an elseworld story. Kinda like Dragonball movies. Love the original and 0 both equally though, personally.

So my 2 cents is watch the original and if you like the ending watch 0 bc zero shows an alternate route that was taken to help the original. I say it’s dark then the original

Feel free to disregard my opinion, as I still haven't seen Stein's Gate... (One day...) But I'd vote that you take the time to watch 0. It would just feel unfinished if you didn't, you know? It's only another 23 episodes, which you'll zip through at your 1 episode a day pace.

0 does a great job tying up those little loose ends. It makes the ending even more satisfying

I mean, personally I'd rather you not, but that's a very selfish reason of "if Curtis is watching an anime I've never seen before, then I have nothing to watch on my lunch break" lol.

Steins;Gate 0 is a pretty good story and it rounds up the story of the original series. I would recommend watching it

I think you should watch Steins 0 right after finishing. It adds much more to the story. You'll probably want to as well by the time you get there

0 is basically an alternate path of the visual novel. It seems entirely worth it for you to watch it. It also fits in with the whole time confusion of the series to be watching an alternate timeline for the guy jumping timelines.

I think based off of vast majority consensus here, people wouldn’t mind you watching Steins 0 after the original series. I agree with this as well, it just adds more context to the entire series as a whole.

By the time you finish Steins Gate your love for it will probably be at its peak so I'd say yes watch Zero right after.

If you end up enjoying Steins Gate id say watch 0 but selfishly id rather a shorter series ive already seen so i can watch along with you think the only show ive seen that youre watching now is bleach and some goosher100 series

Personally I’d say to watch Steins Gate 0. I gave the original a 10/10 and Steins Gate 0 a 9/10. Watching Steins Gate 0, in my opinion, just makes the original Steins Gate feel more complete as well as appreciating it even more. Steins Gate 0 has some incredible moments as well, one of them being one of my favourite scenes of all time that I still rewatch on youtube whenever I see it in my recommendations lol :D Also just keep in mind that after watching the original Steins Gate there is an OVA epilogue episode and then there’s another standalone episode that leads into Steins Gate 0, I can help you figure it out if needed :-)

I would like to see Steins;Gate 0 as well. It has a lot of emotional moments. Also a lot more engrish.

Oops! I didn’t express myself well at all in the initial post! 😄 There’s no way I’m not finishing the original. When I wrote “just stick with the original”, what I meant was finish the original, then not bother with 0... Sorry about the muddled expression. 😊

Steins Gate 0 might be worth watching but the original is the one people really like. So maybe finish Steins Gate and if you feel like it get back to 0 later? So that you dont treat it like Steins Gate season 2 because they are different shows really.

Stick with the original first. Then watch Steins Gate 0 because it is connected to the ending of the original. I don't think you'll appreciate Steins Gate 0 without watching the original and it may be more difficult to follow. Once you've finished the original, there's an episode that you need to watch that connects to Steins Gate 0 but don't worry about that right now. Personally, I don't like Steins Gate 0 as much as the original but that shouldn't affect your interest in it, of course.

Steins gate 0 is a sequel/what if scenario if you enjoy the original and want more its there but its not required to enjoy the original,but I would say stick with the original and decide after we finish it

I love Steins;Gate 0, it's not as good as the original but it really adds to the experience of the original and brings in a new layer to a lot of the main characters (Okabe, Mayuri, Daru, Suzuha, etc). If you love the characters, it's worth watching for that, if not, the plot may annoy you at times.

0 wouldn't really make any sense without having seen the original, since it's just an alt timeline that splits off relatively late.
