I didnt watch the Robotic anime, but Chaos Head anime was a complete mess.

Anyway, the Professor's a good foil for Okabe since he has his future self anticipating what happens so he's aware of the timelines. He's great in that you love to hate him and he used to pretend to be a goofy innocent person.
