A couple things I NEED to get off my chest: 1. Madam Sharley is best girl for me (at least at this point in the series). Yes, she even tops Robin for me. 2. I still can't get over just how glowed up Usopp is after the time skip. Like holy shit, he's practically a brand new character altogether. 3. Horny Jones is going to be a little sore in the morning. He was actually taken out by that very first Elephant Gun, but Luffy decided to completely debone him with an Elephant Gatling.. the very first time you ever see Luffy go fuckin overboard on an enemy and I love it.

Not sure if I'm the first to say this, but a lot of the fight between Hordy and Luffy is filler. Hordy bit him once because Luffy overestimated his current Haki ability to deal with sharp piercing damage. So while he probably could have avoided that bite, he simply miscalculated. All that dodging, the second bite, the second Red Hawk, that's just for episode runtime. Luffy one-sidedly beat the shit out of Hordy most of the fight, the only reason why Hordy lasted this long to begin with was that he swallowed dozens of Energy Steroids after each of Luffy's blows.

It's a chemical fire, they can burn underwater, as they have another source for oxidation, which feeds the flames.

I'm more familiar with the "big frog in a small pond" metaphor though. Do they mean the same thing?
