I see a lot of similarities between ichigo and yusuke, ichigo wants a fair fight with ulquiorra as he recognizes that he wasn't the one who inflected that damage upon ulquiorra but was done by his hollowfied form. The same goes for yusuke when his forefather Raizen the "Mazokou" took over the fight with sensui. As soon as yuysuke gained consciousness he regretted that he was taken over and that it wasn't him who was fighting,the same goes for ichigo he realized it wasnt him fighting

Idk if someone had mentioned it, but Ulquiorras aspect of death is Emptiness. He does a fantastic job of representing it through his questions about human character and emotions, and I thought that not only is the fight amazing, but he's my favorite Espada along with Espada #1 Coyote Stark.

So Uryuu is just sitting offscreen with a hole in his stomache chilling while they have this touching moment. Not to sound like an Orihime hater (even though I totally am) but between dead at the time ichigo and dying Uryuu she did not give a damn about the latter, didn't even heal right away lol

I really love the duality of this fight. While Ichigo, the emotional human becomes a heartless monster, Ulquiorra, the monster who couldn't understand emotions , becomes more human. Which leads into his very symbolic death, as he dies finally understanding what the ‘heart’ really is, before fading away, showcasing that learning this is what really killed him, as it contradicted his very being. A very tragic, but also poetic end to a great character and fight.

Ulquiorra didn't want Ichigo to kill him for warrior's pride. Ulquiorra doesn't give a shit about that. Ulquiorra wanted Ichigo to kill him for the sake of closure and finality. Ulquiorra is going to die anyway, having the fight that kills him end inconclusively robs his death of any meaning, at least in his eyes. If Ichigo kills him though, then Ulquiorra's death will mean that Ichigo accomplished what he set out to do, which is better than the meaningless death he was facing. A rather interesting take, considering how Ulquiorra's character is rooted in nihilism.

It's just the theme that Kubo decided to go with for the Arrancars. Every faction in Bleach has its own cultural theme. The Soul Reapers are obviously Japanese, the Arrancars are Spanish, the Quincies are German, the Fullbringers are English.

I'm kinda drunk so I might be a bit more emotional but I feel like Ulquiorra just wanted to understand how to be more human and that makes me feel really sad, because I think he figured out how, at least a little bit before he died.

Is the author half Mexican/Spanish or something? I always found it interesting that. I don't know about bleach that much that's why I'm asking

Ulquiorra's death is actually really interesting to analyze. He physically died from Ichigo's attacks. At the same time he also mentally died since he realized the true meaning of human heart, which is contradicting his aspect of death: the feeling of nothing.
