I have not watched Bleach in YEARS and have been rewatching it with these reactions. Noone will pass Rukia as best character I though, and then Nel show up... Damn does she makes that decision hard. Imo Rukia is still the best character, but Nel checks all the boxes.

2020-06-15 16:36:02 +0000 UTCThis arrancar was far from a asshole. He could have killed Ichigo at the very start as Ichigo misjudged him based on appearances. He just wants a good fight like many protagonists in anime. He had the honor to encourage Ichigo to take the fight seriously and slowly use more power instead of sneakily one shotting him when Ichigo wasn't ready.. He also only attacked Nel after she interfered in their 1 on 1 fight and showed actual great power way more than ichigo did up to that point. Of course you would try to stop someone who hurt you and nearly could kill you its not malice its protection of ones life.

2020-06-15 13:29:22 +0000 UTCI personally don't understand how you can hate mr. pasta there. He isn't that much different from say Goku who just wants a proper challenge. From within the Bleach franchise and even the Espada he is basically a discount of Grimmjow. Yes he is an enemy that is definitely a threat to Ichigo and Nel but aside from that one characteristic he is an entirely neutral character just looking for a good fight.
