I don't know about that. It definitely inspired a lot, but I'd say Dragon Ball inspired more, and Dragon Ball rose up independent of Fist of the North Star, as it drew most of IT'S inspiration from Journey into the West.

The easiest example is JoJo part 1, which was modeled after the King arc here. Dio as a villain even started off as a clone of King and Jonathan was basically a Kenshiro clone. It’s also interesting that this show is based on the idea that Ken is stronger than anyone, like One Punch Man, but most shonens that came after this had an underdog character as the protagonist, even though this started the battle shonen genre.
