Would you rather live a lie rather than knowing the truth about yourself and others around you. That is what Shirley was living a lie Lelouch created. Jeremiah unknowingly fixed that Shirley was in the right place at the right time.

She just decides that Shirley's happiness is more important than hers, because she is the best. Also, I am forced to disagree with you, Curtis. Jeremiah is objectively best boi and I will accept no substitute.
