When Hancock was talking about the string that attaches her and luffy together the only thing i can think of is Kuwabara and Yukina. Also you have to remember that Ivankov has his own island and is a commander in the Revolutionary Army

They don't have to, but all of them have their own interests in the war. For Crocodile to take down Whitebeard, for Boa to help Luffy, for Jimbei to help Luffy/WB to save Ace etc.etc. I think Mihawk is mostly there to kill his boredom.

One thing that is interesting with this war is that we kind of get to see the warlords scaled a bit, because prior the only thing we know is their former bounties. The problem with the former bounties is we have no idea when they received them and how they've changed or grown since they received it. A perfect example is crocodile, remember in impel down he was put lower than Luffy who has a 300M bounty despite crocodile's former bounty only being about 81M, so I think that honestly works really well so that it's impossible to gauge the level of a warlord initially, and they are not equal, I think moria is probably one of the weakest ones right now.

It is worth mentioning that Kuma has an attack on the level of an Admirals attack, just like every pacifista has. If a pacifista gives you trouble then you cannot defeat an admiral. Which does help place ivankov power wise.

With all these characters going head to head with one another and having favorites on both sides it’s a bit hard to watch them all take on each other. This entire war and the emotions that come experiencing it just punches you through the chest with the feels. It’s very brutal, but awesome.
