Technically, that wasn't "La Muerte" as that requires him using his fingers to absorb reishi, which he enclosed in his fist. What he used, was just a normal punch.

I hate to hate but from what I understand Bleach isn't really worth thinking about power scaling wise. "cool sword change and hit crazy mask man" is the best way to enjoy it just for me.

I don't think I get the powerscaling in Bleach yet. Completley getting pummeled to winning easy seems kinda strange.

All you need to do to defeat Spoon is just take him by the spoon collar and stick him deep into the ground. Like you would do when you stick a spoon deep inside a frozen ice cream container. Spoon’s giant collar and giant Zanpakuto are to compensate for his not so giant package.

chad's La Muerte has to have one of the most aesthetically pleasing after-effects from an attack in all of anime. it's nothing complex, just a simple, efficient skull of death, a thing we can all understand.
