that's pretty true. so much of the show is foreshadowing the future that it's hard to talk without giving things away or being so vague its meaningless

Lot's of people wanted to forget they had been defeated and turned to using meth. Code Geass takes this a step further and makes the drug actually have them experience when they were most happy.
