A Silent Voice is the next one I'd recommend, if you haven't seen it already. I know we've already talked about Anthem of the Heart. And Paprika's a good one too. Oh, Happy Easter, by the way!

Many consider it the best anime movie of alltime. NYT called it the 2nd “best movie of the 21st century” and 4th of the 21st century by film critics

2020-04-12 03:14:07 +0000 UTCSounds about right! People loved it. It's on my list to get to. What I understand to be an equivalent movie to "Your Name" is "A Silent Voice". Got crazy good ratings, just like Your Name. The feels hit you like a wall. I watched it recently. It shook me a bit for a day or two. I highly recommend that movie too (for what that's worth!) It's basically about a deaf girl, her bullies, then both parties growing up and trying to reconcile differences with each other and trying to communicate. Glad you loved Your Name.

We ended up seeing "your name" the week it came out in the country side area that the movies country side is based on. All of this was blind on my part and I didnt really know japanese yet but it was a great memory and exprience I cherish.
