The amount of power that he leaks out SUBCONSCIOUSLY is such that Ichigo, even focusing his energy into his sword, cannot cut him. He's invincible to lesser opponents without having do do anything because he's just that strong. He's like the Hulk: the best strategy against him is to just be somewhere else. Seriously, his sense of direction is terrible. He'll never find you.
