Yeah Curtis, the Celestial Dragons are at the top of the entire world in the world government. The navy are at their beck and call, they're even above kings of any nation and can extort taxes from said kings and make them kneel to them just for showing up. they have legal rights to do basically anything, and I mean ANYTHING they want, without fear of recourse. As was said above, they see themselves as members of the godly pantheon and wield more power and wealth than just about anyone else in the world. And yes, they view everyone else as 'things' and less than human. Toys.

That is kinda a given with being a one piece fan. Hating them is as natural as breathing

This is my favorite arc just on information alone. It truly expands the world of One Piece and really hits home with real world themes like old money and human trafficking. Not many shows can pull off such difficult topics and to add to that arguably one of the darkest themed arc is surrounded by bright colors and floating bubbles making it seem so friendly and welcoming. Which is also, visually, a huge contract to the visually dark arc of Thriller Bark. Coming to Sabaody it's like, "Oh, this is a neat fun little pit stop before we get to fishman island. There's even a park with a ferris wheel. Neat!" Oda: 🖐🖐👊🤕
