MEGA DOWNLOAD ALLOTMENTS
Added 2020-05-08 21:31:43 +0000 UTCI'd been hearing from a few of you - here and there - that you sometimes get notices from MEGA that you've exceeded your download quota. I allot 65% of the bandwidth I pay for to you guys for downloads. I'm thinking that maybe we've grown enough that it's getting used up.
So, I just went to the top level service at MEGA which doubles the amount of bandwidth of mine you guys can use. Hopefully this helps. :-)

2020-05-09 05:51:08 +0000 UTCWhenever I hit a bandwidth limit on Mega I turn on my VPN which allows me to use the bandwidth of another server. Then I just keep switching servers whenever I hit the next limit

2020-05-08 21:56:44 +0000 UTCyou should tell people to turn OFF any VPNs they are using. what VPNs do is that they route your traffic over one of their servers in order to protect your identity. the issue this creates is that thousands of people are using the internet with the same IP address, now if even just a few of these people are using MEGA, the free bandwidth for the IP adress of the VPN-server fills up extremely quickly.

2020-05-08 21:40:56 +0000 UTCFor people downloading/streaming from Mega, unless you pay for a higher tier account yourself then you're usually limited to 1-2gb of bandwidth every 6 hours.

2020-05-08 21:38:57 +0000 UTCI personally haven't had any problems with mega aside from here or there where the videos cant load but thank you for upgrading it, but atleast for mobile (dunno bout pc dont have one, although I will in a few days, finally saved up enough money to buy a gaming pc and the parts are in soon woot woot) you can just click to preview the video which doesn't require you to download the videos

2020-05-08 21:37:48 +0000 UTCAlso if anyone still has an issue with downloading videos, what I personally did is upgrade your Mega account to the next tier, I pay an additional $2 a month and it manages to save majority of my data space. If you have a student email, you may be able to get the next tier for free.
