So when Code Geass came back for this season it got an earlier time slot. There's a rumor that this episode is so similar to the first to get new viewers hooked. We do know there was some executive meddling behind the scenes this season. But I think it's a very effective episode for new and old fans. Because everyone is intrigued.

It is interesting to see him ordering his enemies death in this episode and the first episode. The first time he did it he was deeply affected by what he had done, this time it did nothing to him.

I love this opening. It gives the right amount of WTF and openings to setup a season. And this season does have the best and worst moments in the series.

I don't care whether you hate or love Lelouch, when he gets back his memories and stares blankly into the fire, thinking of who he is while the black knights fall into the scene and kneel(well sort of) to him, you can't help but smile.

Ah yes, the, "Wait, what about... but we were just... WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" episode. Especially after a year long hiatus, but luckily for you, you don't have to worry about that. I also just love how he doesn't even question Brolo. Not even a, "who the fuck are you?"
