For some reason all enemies deem it nessecary to explain in great detail what powers they (and their weapon(s)) have as soon as they first use them. And I don't mean an inner monolog; they usually say this out loud, thus making it possible to figgure out their weaknesses and a winning strategy. I always wondered why the author thought that was a good idea...

Eyelash got hella lucky he fought who he did. 69 was holding back on him that whole time, he didn't even release his zanpaktou. If eyelash had been going up against a lieutenant that didn't hold back at all, he'd have gotten whooped before he could even release his zanpaktou's true ability.

They can be. For example Soi Fon's release phrase is only two words in Japanese, Jinteki Shakusetsu. While in English it's Sting All Enemies to Death

The zanpakto names are really cool. And all of them have names that can be translated a few different ways. The official Viz translations for the ones we see this episode go like this Old mans-Flowing Blade Young Flame Mr.Chill- Flower Heaven Bone of Madness Whitey- Law of Twin Fish And simplest of all of em, Soi Fon's translates to Hornet

I agree, early Bleach fights are so good! (This doesn't mean later they are bad) I think when compared between The Big 3, Bleach had best start in fight quality, while One Piece has the crown in amount of fights that happen per arc. Also OP fights get better when the story progresses! Naruto was always the last of the batch and peaked at NarutoVPain and even then had animation mishaps ("my pain is greater than yours")

One of my favorite things about Bleach, is that in all these shows like Naruto and One Piece the old super powerful bad ass is weakened because of his age or illness or what have you. Not in bleach Yama is over 2,000 years old and has only been getting STRONGER as time passed.

For some reason, the English dubbed version of zanpaktou names and release phrases all sound like such a mouthful compared to the Japanese.

Ive never watched the dub past the early episodes and the sub I watched or manga I read had ryujin jakka's release phrase as reduce all of creation to ash which I think sounds so much better also the shinigami fast movement technique is shunpo which is flashstep the move at the end is shunko which is translated to flash cry everywhere Ive seen and lastly yoruichi's title I've always heard translated as goddess of flash as in the fastest shinigami not flash master or whatever it was sometimes I really dont like the translation choices for the dub

These fights are great but the graphics are nowhere near the fights in the future, since these episodes are old, but the newer episodes feel so much more refined and the fights are even greater just saying ;)
