He held his sword unreleased after he won? I'm not sure if follow what you mean. After he unleashed his Bankai, he remained in Bankai for the rest of the episode. Those glowing pink swords he uses to pin Renji down are part of his Bankai. Also, you can't use Shikai and Bankai at the same time. He didn't use Shikai again after using Bankai so i'm confused on why you suggest he did.

He wanted to put Renji in his place, not kill him. I'm not sure if you can consider that honorable or just being full of yourself. But i do think he showed honor in the end when he dropped his scarf on Renji's body.

I'm not sure if Byakuya's zanpakto counts as a flying weapon. I can see an argument for and against it. If it is a flying type, then it has the worst range among flying types. It's an odd one to classify. I wish Bleach had done a better job with the Zanpakto classifications. It's barely ever mentioned and is never really explained. The only official types they explain (and barely do that) are elemental types, combat types and kido types. As much as i love Bleach, i wish Kubo had focused a bit more on these details lol.

The thing is, Byakuya won this fight, then he used Bankai. Hell, when he won he had stopped using Shikai and held his sword unreleased. He could kick the shit out of Renji in Bankai without using his sword.

Well, at the very least Byakuya did show some honour at the end of the fight. And it never appeared like he wanted to kill Renji. In the end I think they both had a honourable fight. Byakuya didn't use any dirty tricks, he didn't want to kill him and Renji got to fight again for Rukia even if it didn't end well.

Good point... It's nice to see that he may have even the slightest shred of decency.

Of the big 3 for me it's Bleach Naruto One piece(can never get into the anime the characters looks off to me just my opinion)

Whenever I watch Bleach I compare it to the other 2 series in its group “The Big 3” (One Piece/Naruto). I don’t try to compare them overall, but through different categories (Story, Characters, Comedy, Pacing and Fights) Majority of these categories go to One Piece for the 1st place spot besides Pacing, but the other 2 Bleach and Naruto are neck to neck. Story wise I feel like Naruto has the better plot and arcs overall than Bleach, although this current Bleach is better than most of the Naruto arcs. Characters: though Naruto has the better story, Bleach’s characters are MUCH better and enjoyable to watch on screen. Although Naruto has some awesome characters there are quite some that are just whatever and bland, Bleach on the other hand I can’t say that because majority of there characters are unique and have stand out characteristics like One Piece characters. The main cast of Bleach is more uplifting than Naruto’s cast, the Naruto cast can get a bit annoying and depressing at times unlike the Bleach main cast. Comedy: Bleach is far superior than Naruto in that aspect, don’t get me wrong Naruto knows how to make you laugh when it wants but that show’s expertise is on heartfelt emotions. Bleach on the other hand is a slap stick and they nail the comedy it can get really quirky too. Even some of the Bleach filler manages to be enjoyable thanks to the characters able to pull off comedy unlike Naruto. Fights: Bleach and Naruto go hand in hand. Hard to say, each show has some awesome fights with good training montages for the fights. But I’ll say this about Bleach as oppose to Naruto, the fights are more well rounded and not only focuses on the main cast but more of the side characters get fights as oppose to the side characters of Naruto. In short this is my opinion l, so hopefully gets triggered by my comment. And Bleach is going to be very awesome!

Those hair ornaments Byakuya has are symbol of his nobility. I don't remember what they are called though.. Also remember that one fodder guy Uryu fought, the guy who claimed to be master of flying weapons? Byakuya might have something to say to that 😂

I like the way Byakuya leaves his scarf with renji. it's his own way of showing respect to him, and probably the most human thing we've seen him do so far.
