Clovis is a clear example of an early villian that wasn't really given anything in the way of character. He was just the hopelessly inept prince with a big ego who is willing to murder everyone for his secrets. There's so much more to him than that. He was an artist, a decent enough viceroy when he wasn't at risk of being disinherited, and unlike most of the other royals, he genuinely loved Lelouch and Nunnally. Hell, you actually see that in the series. Lelouch is holding him at gunpoint and he's willing to forget that because his brother is back. They could've done so much more with him and it pisses me off. It's the same as killing Raditz in episode 4 of Z. They could've done SO much more with him.

An honorary Britannian being made a Knight. That's a serious promotion and pretty much unheard of. Look a little Euphie breaking down barriers. Good guy Todo, the man who trained him as a kid in case you didn't catch it, helping Suzaku overcome his aversion to fighting him in the middle of their fight. C.C. listening to crazy laugh Lelouch thinking, "I feel like I've been here before, have I been here before?"

You know, on the list of characters who don't get the recognition they deserve, General Darlton is really up there. The guy's a legitimately good dude. He was just as shocked that the reporters would badmouth Suzaku as Euphie was, and when he ordered reinforcements, they were told to 'support kururugi', not kill the black knights. And that's not even factoring in the stuff not shown in the main series. Like his habit of adopting war orphans from his many campaigns to ensure they have a good life. Really an A-class individual that, if he weren't loyal to Cornelia, would be the best example that not all britannians are racists assholes.

I'm guessing that rather than being so confident in the abilities of Lancelot and Suzaku that they did not add an ejection block, it is just another case of Lloyd using their whole budget on the Lancelots capabilities, he already knows how an ejection block works and cant really build on that.
