Remember last episode. They showed a flashback of Gin saving Rangiku from starvation and it seemed to be the very first thing he did when meeting her. If that doesnt give you some brownie points i dont know what would.

Interestingly, in this episode Gin's eyes are a different color than their canonical color. That's because this episode was animated before Gin had actually opened his eyes in the manga.

Gin has an imminently punchable face and his actions don't help in the least whether he's guilty or not. Also, this episode inspired a classic gif. Next episode is a flashback episode, but it's a good one. I wonder which nickname Curtis will give to Kaien... I always just called him Zack. FF7 fans will understand why.

Rangiku grew up with gin(angle face) from that flashback from yesterday episode, thats why she has feeling for him, his like her big brother.

If he had used his Bankai, he likely would have killed Momo by mistake. Also, Gin hadn't released his Shikai until the end.. If Little Whiteys Shikai couldn't beat Gins unreleased sword, there wouldn't be much of a point in pushing things to the Bankai level.

Hitsugaya trying to kill Ichimaru felt a bit half assed considering he only used his shikai (since bankai's are roughly 10x stronger) so it's like "I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU! while holding back 90% of my strength".
