Imagine losing someone like that. You lose someone but they aren't dead, they just forget absolutely everything about you. It's probably a son/daughter's absolute worst fear, for that to happen to a parent/grandparent. Imagine how much pain Lelouch must have been in to do that to someone he loved (still not sure if he actually loved her or if she was just a really dear friend) just so she wouldn't be in pain.

He reads minds which we will get more details later. But when he claps he ruins the focus of people thinking like you fell for. You started paying attention to the clapping. Its so the inner thoughts are less protected. If someone was trying to think of something else or try to not think. The handclapping would distract them and break that focus.

All with a great track playing. There is at least one thing I agree with Mao on: C.C. looks fantastic in that outfit. I love her little hat.
