Joe Banks, 82 years young

Hey Curtis can you please upload a link to your reaction to High School DXD please?

Chainsaw Man

It could be she got it from Squad 4 cap. Miyuri and her have a contest where he makes posion and she cures it. I think

Rebirth419

Anyone else find it weird that Nemu just so happens to carry the antidote on her person. Both she and her Captain are immune to the toxic gas his Bankai creates and Mayuri doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who would really care if allies got caught in the crossfire. And Nemu is the kind of girl who would only do something if ordered to. The only reason she gave Uryu the antidote was because he didn’t kill the captain. So I just find it weird that she has the antidote at all.

YUP! :-D

Spaz Boys Comedy

Literally forgot Quincy had a dad lol

Gigamac24

Dammit, how did I miss that!

V_VMat

Sounds like our Quincy and Thor have something in common: "You should have went for the head."

Miasimon

Damn, Cuphead got doughnutted worse than Kakyoin. Lucky for him, our Quincy went to the Asgard school of fighting and didn't aim for the head.

Your Mom

In a twisted sort of way, I kinda like Cuphead. Not for what he did, but because I'm a genuine sucker for mad scientists.

Miasimon

Cuphead obviously had a peak at koro-sensei's move set booklet.

Kakashi

I had completely forgotten about Captain Tousen showing up at this part of the story. When he popped up at the end of the episode, I was just as shocked as Curtis.

SlickRob

You forgot Orochimaru

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

Cuphead is actually my favorite captain in this show. I've always loved him being this mad scientist and how sneaky cunning and resourceful he is. He's so smart and makes it clear that he's someone who should not be messed with. I've watched all the bleach filler arcs too which helped me be to adore how powerful yet arrogant he is at the same time. I could never see you liking him of course because of said arrogant side. I know you don't typically like that stuff but I love him. XD I just feel like he deserves to be arrogant.

Ishida's father did also say that Ishida should focus on saving the living. So the actual job he was suggesting is atleast as good for others as being a Quincy.

Miklar Sihn

You've already gotten some comments defending Ishida's (Quincies) father. They tried to explain it in this episode but don't get very deep into it. His father cared more about making money because he wanted to provide a good life for his family. Quncies don't make money for their hard work and they're constantly putting themselves and those close to them in danger. (sort of like Ichigo was doing at the start of all this) Also, it meant you were under constant surveillance from Soul Society. So good bye privacy. Though.. I suppose Ishida's father could have just started a TV show about hunting evil spirits.. It seems to be working for Don Kanonji, lol. But his family and those close to him would have still been in constant danger from, hollow attacks.

Mr. Miles

Lol. Chill Curtis don't hang one of the only two black people in the series so far

Ruben T. Armstrong

Cuphead is basically a mix of Freeza and The Joker. The sociopathic behavior, the cold calculations, the truly cut-throat nature, the voice, the facepaint, his obsessive nature, the superiority complex, hell, he even has his own Harley Quinn. You'll probably see plenty of people want to keep him around for similar reasons people like to keep the Joker or Freeza around. He isn't likable, but he is interesting. Keep in mind that he is a Captain, and likely wouldn't be allowed to keep this rank if he was going against soul society, who's job is to maintain a balance and to keep the living safe from hollows (among other things). So while he's a scumbag, he's not exactly a 'villain'. Kind of like Freeza during the final DBS arch.

Mr. Miles

Thanks, My Friend! You guys are what make watching these shows SO much fun for me! Giving my thoughts and views on the stories and characters and then getting to see how they align - or don't align - with how you guys saw it. :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

Yea, I just can't get past Cuphead kicking the crap out of that little girl. Outside of that, I would have been able to tolerate him a little more. :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

Hey, Quince's dad did do something more important than being a quincy. He was a doctor, saving people and making money. It clearly does more than just being a quincy would.

Miklar Sihn

He's supposedly a lot younger in the flash back, his white hair is supposed to signify his age I believe. Also, genetics.

Isn't uryu dad hair white or silver? Tf?

grimmjow

This is part of why I love your reactions Curtis, other than that they're entertaining to me. Unlike a lot of reactors, you are actually transformative. And not just "oh crap", "no", "omg", "he took off to another dimension" because that's boring. Blanket words or just repeating what happened in an episode doesn't cut it for reactions imo, you're giving actual detailed responses which I love. As for Cuphead, fk that guy. I like conviction too, but in pursuit of things that are actually noble, not being a dirtbag. Sure I like a good villain, I just don't think he's a good villain. He's too one dimensional. He's more an asshole than a proper villain tbh. I know some people grew to like him later in the series but that was just never the case for me.

In a place like soul society where everything feels kinda non scientific and purely traditional, I like the idea of a scientist, and a crazy one at that. I think that means cup head has potential

astherphoenixxx96

Didn't we all?

V_VMat

I'm actually kinda ok with cuphead, because he IS twisted and insane, but, much like Spike, he's committed to it. He's basically the definition of a mad scientist. EDIT: I guess I just like conviction. EDIT2: While I'm playing Devil's advocate, I also see Uryu's dad's perspective. He has a family and kids to think of, and he has to make a money. Being a quincy wouldn't do that.
