And the entire team was made up off super high level expert Karasuma level (appearantly). In the anime I guess they didnt think they had the time or something so they just had normal soldier boys. Also I dont really care for the translation of Koros last line. Its supposed to be "You can run away from, avoid, get around etc most things. But no matter what you do there will come a few times in every persons life where thry will have to stand up and fight with everything they've got. In my case, that time is now." Might not be fully correct, thats what I recall. But it wasnt what they translated it to here either way. Its supposed to be saying "There will come a time when youll have no choice in life but to face the challenge head on with everything you got". Meaning this is supposed to be a once or few times in a lifetime moment. But the translation makes it sound like this is the end result of ANY problem.

Anyway, one of the reason the kids dealt with them as easily as they did was that Karasuma had deliberately talked down their abilities. As far as they were aware, the whole 'Assassination Classroom' thing was just a little game. The kids made some half assed attempt at murder, octopus dodges and gloats to sate his ego, rinse, repeat. They never imagined that they'd actually be trained assassins, so they grossly underestimated what they were fighting. the anime changed the last mercenary they fought. The manga had them go up against a guy given the title of 'Divine Solider' that Karasuma took one look at and immediately stated he was at least three times stronger than him (Reminder that Karasuma stops steel beams with one hand and boxed with the Reaper for reference). The kids were able to win because they never took any lethal actions (limited his ability to redirect their attacks towards each other, and left him unsure whether to go for the kill on a group of kids) and stopped him from removing his glasses. You see, when he removes his glasses, it's a psychological trigger to put him in battle mode. He's never lost a single fight when he's been able to remove his glasses, even while unarmed. But they didn't give him that chance and swarmed him from all side. They couldn't score any good hits, but they got him into a position for Nagisa and Karma to deliver the Clap stun into Axe Kick into everyone zap him until he stays zapped.
