So, they changd alot of the build up from the manga. Originally, they were planning to break onto the mountain on the first night. The ministry of defense caught wind of what they were up to, sent a team of mercs to bring them in. They were then locked up in 'protective custody' to ensure they don't continue causing problems. Karasuma was allowed to see them the second day, and he berated them for their impatience. Told them they'd have been better off waiting a few days, say 5 or 6, to let the military drop their guards, then pushed in under cover of night when no one was the wiser. Not that it would have worked, since he goes on to explain that the mercs are guarding the mountain to keep unwanted guests away, and their leader is about 3 times stronger than Karasuma himself. He and Nagisa have their 'Don't give me a hard time.' Moment, and Karasuma tells the class to spend the next few days thinking of what it is they want to do. The class unanimously decide they want to see him again. On the last day before the laser fires, Professor Bitch is escorted into the room, having convinced the guards that she was so worried about her students and just had to see them with her own eyes. They escort her in for a short visit, and without preamble she kisses about half of the class, promising that it's only for a few more days, etc. As soon as she leaves, the half she didn't kiss is wonder what that was about. The half she did removes the explosives, maps, floor plans, guard posts, and escape routes that Professor bitch had smuggled into their mouth with that skillful tongue of hers. They escape the government with ease thanks to the supplies she gave them, their plans already made from the multiple days of time they spent locked up together. Each of them run home to grab their gear, Nagisa has a slightly sweet mom with psycho mom where she understands exactly what he meant when he said there was something he needed to do in E-Class, and tells him to just be safe, allowing him to leave to break into a secured government encirclement. Other things that happened of importance, before everything went to shit, Itona's father returned, having settled all of his debts and ready to start over with his son. Additionally, as payback for him bleeding them dry over the past year, the government gave the principal no warning before they revealed everything, including his school's involvement in allowing a dangerous monster to hold 28 students hostage. He vaguely considers throwing someone under the bus, but ultimately, he decides to double down. At a press conference with rabid media out for blood, he says perfectly plainly that if he thought the dangerous superbeing was an ineffective teacher, he'd have fired him long ago. While the reporters are in a frenzy, he has one of his assistants invite a single reporter to his office for a short exclusive interview. Just three minutes... that reporter was then brainwashed and his paper was defending the principal's handling of the situation.
