Who's claim to fame is playing characters that are kind of cutesy but also murderous if not psychotic. I've mentioned before Stocking from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, she's also played May from Fullmetal Alchemist. And probably closest to psychopathic Kayano right now Tanya Degurechaff from Youjo Senki.

Kayano was a very recent addition to E-Class at the start of the series, during Shirou's introduction, he's looking at her and Nagisa, but unlike everyone else in the room, she's deliberately averting her eyes from him. The scene in the pool, she says she can't swim a mere 6 pages before Korosensei reveals HE can't swim. Just like both Itona and Korosensei, she's a deep fondness for sweets, pudding in particular, and a fixation on boobs. And the reaper, the greatest assassin in the world, who took out the rest of E-class relatively easily, decided it was necessary to use a full force knee to try and break the ribs of a little girl. Meaning he saw her as a bigger threat than them. Even with all of that, it still took me by surprise the first time too. One of my favorite episodes, and it just gets better from here. And now you know the person I mentioned before who deliberately broke the principal's possession to go to E-class.

2020-01-24 15:08:43 +0000 UTCChecked this scene in the manga and wowza the manga is a lot less childfriendly. The dub of the anime is also more childfriendly than the sub. Anyways in the official translation Kayanos last line wasnt save me, it was: "... Kill me... Help me..." Maybe the dub thought it too dark?

2020-01-24 14:28:43 +0000 UTCWhat is cool is there were a couple little hints to her being special. When the white robe guy first appears he looks and notes some interesting classmates. It makes it look like he is look at Nagisa but he actually is referring to her. Plus she is never in the water.
