The manga version of Wolfwood is actually even more deep. I mean in general the manga is more fleshed out. Actually finished.

It's interesting to see how he deals with Christian themes in the show compared to other series, where other anime/manga writers just use Christian symbolism and themes because it's recognizable and exotic.

The idea that everyone has a cross to bear but some are bigger than other like sickness or guilt. Wonder what wolfwoods mental/spiritual cross is to carry such a big and a physical burden too.
