Been a long time since I last watched Bleach. And with this you're diving into the last of "The Big Three" of the old shounen anime. If you like battle anime, this has it in abundance! Not to mention a pretty good soundtrack at times.

Single episode ones a usually pretty non-substantial and the filler only character can get a bit weird especially when they stick around. But I think after the fact when you can watch whatever episodes you want without waiting, filler hating should ease up a bit at least if people give them an honest chance. I feel arcs like Muramasa are pretty good. In fact, that should have been canon kinda (not necessarily the actual arc but the themes that are brought to attention and discussed)

Damn this takes me back. Back in the day Bleach was part of the Shounen Trinity alongside Naruto and One Piece. The early arcs are damned good, but... I'll leave it at that and let it speak for itself as it goes along. There is a ton of filler throughout the series. Some of them are worth watching, but a good amount can be skipped and nothing of value would be lost. It's kind of a case-by-case thing. The ones in the middle of other arcs can get annoying even if they're good in their own right in my opinion.

People: Bleach filler suck and need be skipped. Me: ? The fillers were the best written parts of Bleach. Muramasa, Kouga, Bount, Nozomi. If youre gonna watch Bleach the fillers are the best part.

Its not like this dub is horrible or anything, but you will definitely not feel the full emotional effect watching dub. I'd give an episode of the subbed a chance and see what YOU like better.

I wouldnt judge a dub too harshly I, its first arc. Like many shows actors need to get used to playing the characters and get a feel for the characters. They go nowhere but up from here imo.

Bleach has some of the same voice actors from Naruto because they’re both dubbed by Viz Media. Example, Ichigo’s sister Karin(black hair) has Sakura’s voice.

There is a lot of hate for bleach out there, but it is still actually a really good series. I'm hoping the filler arcs are going to be skipped, especially the early filler as it might well be the worst filler in anime, a few of the later ones aren't all that terrible though.

Oh yeah just so you know a lot of bleachs episodes have post credit scenes, I think they start around episode 30 but there may be some sooner. They're mostly comedy skits but some do give extra info as well

God I've been waiting for this for so long lol. Bleach is one of my all time favourites. Ichigo is a very different character from the other big 3 series mains, (naruto, Luffy) he's not looking to become king of all soul reapers, all he cares about is protecting the people around him, also he's not an idiot like most protagonists of the time. Also has an awesome theme song

Ye, plus english is not the first language for a lot of people (including me) that's why I prefer watching subs. Ofc I understand almost everything but still I prefer subs, because I can listen to Curtis at the same time as watching his reaction with subs.

Fun fact, Ichigo's name means the numbers 1 and 5,. And it also means strawberry. Try to look out for the number 15 and other things like that they hide them in the show every so often.

Hey Curtis. So glad to see you're starting Bleach finally. In all honesty, it's my favorite of the old Big Three, due in no small part to the openings and endings. I know you don't usually watch these, but the Bleach ones have such a cool style to them (and the music is good too). They also aren't usually that spoiler-heavy if you don't know what to look for, especially the first one. I'm gonna love your reaction to this regardless, but please consider it.
