Im well into the next arc in the Manga. Is it confirmed that season 4 is supposed to be the final season wrapping up the Manga too?

I think there's an argument to be made on both sides. Floch is no more wrong about the sentimentality Eren and Mikasa had than one arguing that Armin is brilliant beyond his years and thus a better choice. Though I do think if Erwin had a say in the matter, he'd have chosen Armin. I think he'd see it in this light "I helped humanity survive, but someone needs to help them live."

Just throwing it out there that Floch actually has a pretty valid point. Regardless of how you feel about it, from an objective standpoint, Erwin should have been chosen. The point is, given the choice between saving a Commander/General and saving a regular soldier, you save the higher up because they have a metric ton more experience than the soldier. Floch may not have known Armin, but he also didn't know Erwin (hell, I'd bet nobody but Levi and maybe Hange really knew Erwin). This show really does a great job of showing that the only ones who see Eren, Mikasa and Armin as protagonists are us, the viewers. To everyone else, they're just three regular soldiers (with the exception of Eren being a titan and Mikasa being second only to Levi in skill).

AoT is like a rollercoaster, they always have a moment where they slow down into a lull before going into an even more crazy section. This episode is that lull. When the next season comes the rollercoaster is going to be threatening to come off the damn rails!

Just a general rule of thumb, I would make sure to refrain from looking up anything related to AOT from here on out. There are manga spoilers everywhere and as a manga reader myself I can safely say that things get pretty crazy and I'd hate for any of it to get spoiled for you. Especially with season 4 right around the corner.

I gotta say. Objectively, Floch is spitting facts. The kind of decision levi made is absolutely unrelated to military procedure and other such official rules. Floch is also correct when he says Mikasa acted like an adult when she gave up(that one guy to her coz its true). The fact that Jean and Connie could only watch the scene unfold is also true. In his point of view as fodder (as he called himself), he needs some figure like Erwin to be inspired. In the point of view of any military official not physically there, there is no way levi's decision is a rational one. And that's just how things are

Also Floch had no emotional connection to Erwin, he was only his superior. You can't say Flochs decision was emotion based like Eren and Mikasas.

The final scene with the sea is so beautiful in such a tragic way. Eren, who's always been pretty idealistic trying to look at the bright side of things, is the only one who acknowledged the terrible situation when they came and realized that the sea, instead of symbolizing freedom, is just another wall. Like the Walls separated them from Titans, the sea separates them from their much more powerful human enemies. The sea has just become another cage, destroying Eren's hopes and views, and you can see on his face that it broke him a good deal. Add also that their enemies are not evil creatures anymore, but are actual sapient beings with somewhat justifiable motives. It's not the black and white world Eren initially thought it was, and the sheer scale with which the world pounded that lesson into him was beyond painful. He's growing up, the hardest way ever. That's called character development, among other things.

I feel like Floch was saying the decision was based on their emotions and not logic. Its the logical choice to revive the superior with experience and wisdom than an officer who is of a way lower rank who is smart. Outsider looking in objectively its impossible to ignore what Eren and Mikasa did was overly irrational and emotionally charged ( I mean they literally tried to kill levi lol).

Besides my waifu Mikasa, Eren has always been my favorite character in this show, just something about his character intrigued me, but when the manga started to showcase what happens after the events of Season 3 oh boy Eren has rapidly gone up as one of my all time favorites. I think this season is going to have a lot of people on board the Eren fan train.

Yeah you and me both know no one is ready for season 4. I used to hate attack on Titan and Eren especially. He seemed just bitchy and edgy all the time and the show just seemed Bloody and gross just to be bloody and gross. But god damn not that I've read the manga i see Isyama has been playing twelve dimensional chess with us. re reading some of the early stuff showed me he had a plan all along. I CANNOT wait for the new season to come out and see what people think.

You said a while back something about how in this show whenever our main cast gets a ray of hope there’s always another danger coming ahead. Now that you seen the final episode and seeing how Eren and Armin finally reached the sea, that statement you once said holds more weight than ever. We were being built up since the beginning of the show for our cast to finally reach the sea and it’s suppose to be a beautiful moment, however when we do finally reach the sea it’s a bit melancholy especially for Eren because like you mentioned although finally seeing the sea is a small victory there is the new threat of humanity on the other side of the sea and now Eren more specifically who at the start of the show wanted to exterminate all titans to gain his freedom, must now set his eyes in targeting the humans who threatened him on the other side of the ocean to gain this long seeked freedom. This show really goes deep into emotional psyche and although what you seen so far has been astonishing as someone who reads the manga monthly I can assure Season 4 will be one of the best works you’ll ever witness. And Season 4/The Final Season will begin Fall 2020, so looking forward to watching side by side with you and the other Gooshers.
