Sea Prism stone is basically the condensed version of the mineral in seawater that weakens the DF users in the first place. It'd be like if superman grabbed bars made of Kryptonite as opposed to standing in pool with trace amounts of it. I hope that analogy helped lol

I sea. I thought just standing in it would be enough, only because of the Alabasta arc. Where luffy grabs the prison bars made out of sea prism stone and instantly gets weak.

The reason nobody questions why the booty call was made is because it’s basically a fail-safe. It’s a last resort of the military. It’s like how the president could technically launch a nuke by just pressing some buttons. The questions only come after the deed is done.

Honestly, not to give spandex credit or anything, but a booty call here probably wasn’t that bad of a move from his standpoint. Pirates invaded enies lobby and beat most of CP9 and he even lost Robin. I think that had spandex been a more competent villain, the booty call could’ve been seen as a strategic move.
