Or norted, whichever you prefer... π€£ When Valentina and Kazu are fighting together, they're using what the doc called gen:lock phase 2, where they basically share a mind for a time. They touched on it in the last two episodes, but this episode was a beautiful example of it, and it's a really cool twist on the "fusion" trope in mecha style anime in my opinion. Yeah the end of this episode is pretty gutting; I'm almost sorry you gotta wait a month for the next one where I only had to wait a week, lol
