As an Englishman I don't have really any interest in baseball, since it doesn't really exist here for the most part, but Major actually managed to get me interested at least while I watched it, despite me knowing nothing of the game I learned a decent bit about it to the point where I wouldn't go out of my way to watch a real game, but I now have a respect for the game. Other than that, it's a series with a lot of big moments and character growth. Pretty sure it is also the undisputed best baseball anime out there, though there are actually a couple of others that are really good also.
