2019-12-20 22:44:40 +0000 UTCso for Fugo, i didn't wanted to spoil you that he won't come back, but now that we're at the end I can confirme; yeah he won't. the reason that is, it's because Araki originally wanted for Fugo to be a spy working for the boss, but Araki was in a depression episode and finally found the idea of a close friend betraying the group too sad; im quoting the wiki here "In Bunko Volume 10, Araki explains that the plot originally had Fugo working as a spy for Diavolo that Giorno would have eventually been forced to kill. Having gone through grim feelings at the time, Araki couldn't handle the thought of betrayal of a dear friend and felt that the readers would have been disappointed had he followed through, thus the goodbye scene at the quay of San Giorgio Maggiore happened" so yeah that's why Fugo ended up being fugone, but not fugotten as the original idea wasn't totally discarded and arakiworked with another author named Miya Shotaro to rework Fugo's story and created the novel "Golden Heart, Golden Ring" wich follow what fugo did while the gang was fighting the boss; there's also the amazing novel "Purple Haze Feedback" written by Kohei Kadono and illustrated by Araki himself wich take place directly after the end of part5 and give Fugo some closure. Those novels aren't canon, but they don't conflict with the cannon either (well PHF conflict a bit with the anime, not with the manga) and they're amazing read I highly recommand for any fan wanting more of cheese boy ^^
