2019-12-20 14:40:16 +0000 UTCWatching this again, in hindsight the bits with the Rubix cube and the Puzzle Ring were foreshadowing for the Principal cheating on the test. In the case of the Rubix cube, it shows that he's willing to change the rules of the game, if the end result is the same. Meanwhile Puzzle Rings require time and patience, in order to be able to solve them. Making them impossible to do in one second. Showing how he has a tendency to not allow E class sufficient resources to excel. It's a nice touch on the author's part, and so subtle you don't think of it while watching it.
