My biggest problem would be the fact that we have two extremely long series running at the same time each that are known to be full of filler. That's almost a year of both slots being filled by the same type of show. With long drawn out sections rather than the streamlined focus of new shows.

Harry Potter is also a highly rated series and it is an absolute train wreck you're not proving much. Also of course its still has fans kids grew up watching and reading it. Its part of life another thing is when you grow up you realized a lot of what you liked wasn't very good. Bleach really did have the potential to be something but like most things that came before and after it, it didn't make the cut. The only difference is it had an anime during the time when anime finally started catching on in places other than south america. Most of the things around its quality level could never dream of having a big anime or movies to support their series. Money and connections can move mountains and bleach is proof of it.

All this hate on Bleach is laughable. Its one of the top 100 franchises of ANYTHING of all time. (number 65 to be exact) The 11th most successful Manga Franchise of all time. And still has content with fans globally wanting more. Its still TV Tokyos top 5 earning series yearly. But i guess to all the salty fans it "died" years ago.

I know it's not too big a deal, but I'm somewhat salty that the long show is the one that's winning. Not that I don't love bleach, but CG is literally my number 2 show that i want our old bald guy to watch, beating out Ghost Stories and RWBY and losing only to Fate/Zero. Well, soon enough...

Though the mecha perform an important practical role, their thematic role is non-existent and narrative role is minimal. That's why I personally don't think it a primarily mecha anime, but more a political war thriller.

I get how you feel but it probably wont happen. I am personally on the code geass wagon as i think we have enough battle shounen going atm and i would prefer more variety and on that front, code geass is the one least like the other shows we are getting.

I would personally prefer finishing it off after one piece, which i know is a bit of a way off. But we are just in danger of having the channel continually dominated by battle shounen. And while i like battle shounen, it is worth getting some other stuff too to spice things up.

If we do Bleach I suggest the dub Johnny Yong Bosch is a great VA who has a ton of great roles including the main character of Bleach (Ichigo). His first anime role in fact is Vash from Trigun another good 90s dub. Funny thing he even voices Lelouch the Main character from Code Geass.

If we do bleach can we skip the shitty cannon stuff as well as the filler? I mean the bount arc and the reigai arc have litterally like 15 minutes of watchable content between them. That said, please vote for hajime no ippo instead its so much better.

227-265 was made canon after the novels. Zanpaktou Rebellion Arc. Other than that probably mostly right. Overall, originally there was 163 filler episodes in Bleach now there's 125.

Once again, putting my hat in for Code Geass. It's the shortest to watch on the list, we'd be done with it in about 2 months and should also line up around the same time as Trigun, so I think those two plus probably (let's be honest, we know it's staying) One Piece will be a pretty sweet 3 reactions a day, 6 days a week block for a good while.

@Curtis just a heads up, Attack on Titan is not finished yet, what I believe is the final season has still yet to come out, and I don't think it's happening until Fall 2020, so if you start it now, you're going to have to wait a bit before you can finish it, just so you know, might be good to put it off till the final season starts airing so that you can watch the whole thing through at once. But it's definitely a must see anime.
