Mugen killed he because she allowed him. 2. The goverment of the time would hire assassins to chase and get criminals thats not too strange of a thing its like a bounty hunter. 3. Musashi Miyamoto is probably in the top 5 most renown samurai maybe even 1 or 2. He had a undefeated record of 61 duels (second is 33 duels) wrote the book of 5 rings. Was a philospher too. He invented a strange two sword style. He was also rumored to fight with a wooden sword made from a boat oar. Eccentric to say the least. He also lived during the time of the show.
