If L died due to kira, and after so much time, the new L, ie light is still alive and well, that means automatically that light is like 90% certain kira. And here's why,according to the work that L had done before his death. Kira must have gotten close enough to L to kill him. Someone like Light yagami can easily be found on public records. So if he was leading an investigation against a so called kira, and he is still alive after so long that is not normal. Note that kira so far got rid of everyone he thinks is after him
