Ussop trying to keep their fee low is absurd because they are pirates and doing illegal things is just par for the course. Nami trying to trick her captain to go against his orders to sail for Upperyard is also dumb. Yes, she saw God's power, but weird and deadly powers are just par for the course on the grand line. Luffy is the type to run towards danger, but he's shown that he will protect his friends. As an irl skeptic, I take god claims with a mountain of salt
