I don't know if you noticed but Chopper jumped ship when Nami was yelling at Robin in order to get away and since he can't swim Zoro jumped after him

2019-08-03 06:02:48 +0000 UTCBut keep in mind Shanks gave up his arm when he didn't have to. He could have saved Luffy from the Sea King and kept his arm. The point is that Luffy doesn't want to fight someone just because they laughed at him. Luffy can easily handle those fools on his own but makes a point to not bother since it gets him nothing, not even satisfaction. Bellamy wasn't trying to kill them, just ridicule. Luffy fights for survival. If they went after Nami then that's another story.

2019-08-02 14:07:50 +0000 UTCThe scene between with the cherry pie guy & Luffy is one of my favorite scenes in the ENTIRE series. It’s a really powerful speech about just chasing your dream no matter what others tell you & not sure if you notice but the show sets up a unique parallel between Luffy & the cherry pie guy. Like I said before foreshadowing.

2019-08-02 13:21:49 +0000 UTCI always found this scene incredibly stupid. It was a completely different situation than with shanks in the bar, all he did was spill some booze and that's it. There was no point in taking action. In this situation, however things are completely different. Zoro and luffy are getting beat up to a degree that it's painful to watch, while nami (friend of luffy) is being laughed at and ridiculed right in front of luffys eyes. Shanks would never let that happen. Not to a friend.
