ALL THE VIDS ON THEIR WAY BACK!
Added 2019-07-29 15:45:48 +0000 UTCI just wanted to give you guys a quick update on the progress of getting our entire catalog of anime reaction vids back:
All of the videos have been recovered from Vimeo, thanks to our gang here who jumped all over correcting things as soon as the Vimeo apocalypse hit! Thanks SO much to all of you!
I've got a bunch of the videos already back to me, and the rest are on their way via mail, on hard drives. As soon as I have them all - which should be in the next few days - I'll immediately go to work on zipping them up in packs of 10 vids or so and make the download links available to you guys.
Everything will be labeled clearly so you can get the vids you specifically want to see. ALL the series we have done here will be available. :-)
Also, going forward with the current vids, I'm going to ease up on the compression on them. I think they were a bit too cloudy, so in the next couple of days, you'll see a much better quality on the videos. The file size will be a bit bigger, but I think it's worth it.
Any issues with using Mega, please let us know here in the comments. If I don't have a solution, there's a good chance one of our crew here will. :-)

The videos are fine as is, but I'm wondering if it could be compressed less. Not sure if there's a limit to what you can upload but just wondering.

I'm sure it probably could be better, but I'm also old enough to remember when it took two hours to download a movie trailer the looked as fuzzy as a '40s TV screen, so I can't complain. We forget how lucky we are.

However, have the Gooshers who recovered some of your Vimeo reactions already compressed the videos by themselves? If so, I might worry that they've compressed them down to 60MB (just like your Cowboy Bebop episode 9 reaction) which was very hazy-- or have they sent you the full-quality versions, allowing you to compress them down to whatever you please? Also, glad to hear you'll be increasing the quality of the reactions down the line. I was hoping you'd do that, as I watch on a pretty big TV (I'm a minority, I know, but, I still appreciate being able to read subtitles on my TV).

So I started downloading them to see if there was a difference. But I think this post explains things 😅
