THIS EPISODE GAVE ME SUCH AN ADRENALINE RUSH! - One Piece #126

This is definitely one of my favorite episodes so far! The whole buildup with everything in Alabasta was SO well done, and seeing Luffy take out Crocodile the way he did was a PERFECT, adrenaline-pumping way to start wrapping things up!

THIS EPISODE GAVE ME SUCH AN ADRENALINE RUSH! - One Piece #126

That's always been my headcanon. The only reason luffy won was A crocodile had 90% of his devil fruit power tied up in his plan. We only ever see him do little things with his power. Even the big sandstorm was small and just built up in strength as it went on. He is just so arrogant that he takes on everyone at 10% devil power plus his normal physical power. That would also explain his organization. Besides the spy nature of them they also act has his first line of disposable defense that would be the canary to see if anyone strong comes after him. He just underestimates luffy again and again because he us a rookie. B As said above his arrogance. He could have killed luffy many times he just likes to gloat

Sean Nelson

Only two or three warlords could beat Croc, his "reflection" is debatable. Only problem i see is not using that "ability".

I can’t wait for Curtis to get the happiness punch

Dallas Winston

So technically Luffy can put "Crocodile Wrangler" on his resume if he ever applied as a zookeeper. Can Luffy have the nickname "Dundee" after this fight? (Crocodile Dundee) Steve Irwin would be proud of how Luffy handled that "gator". ...I think I ran out of Crocodile jokes.

Miasimon

Fuck off. Hater alert. This episode is the climax of the biggest arc and villain defeat to date for Curtis and that’s what you have to say?

What I commented and realized while watching your reaction to episode #120 is what Michael said earlier; Crocodile has been suppressing* the rain in whole country for 3 years! That had to have some effect to his fighting abilities. constantly using your ability 3 years non-stop. *by absorbing moisture out of air, I presume.

"Thats a lot of fists" *somewhere in the distance a leopard and a sharkboi are having PTSD flashbacks*

Jojoekage

They annoyed me, but at the same time, since he's a villain, they really worked well. :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

This was SO good, My Friend! This series really manipulates your emotions well! :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

fun fact: Oda himself said that he regreted introducing crocodile so early into the series, because it makes him seem weeker than some of the other warlords that luffy could never hope to beat

Duke

I'm really glad you loved how this all turned out. Croc was a piece of shit and he deserved every one of those punches. But this ass-beating is only #3 in my top 3 times Luffy stomps the major villain of the arc. Lots of good stuff still to come!

Dandy

I will really miss crocodilo laughs

HAHAHAHA...you're kidding right? Goku was at maybe 1-2% of Frieza's strength when the fight began...and you've got the nerve to say One Piece has the most plot armor in Shonen?! Come on bro, be realistic. First of all, plot armor exists in everything...it's what makes the story go forward, yet people only complain about the plot armor for heroes, when villains have equal plot armor most of the time. How about in Arlong Park when Luffy was underwater for most of the time giving Arlong and his men a fighting chance? How about when Luffy was in cage when they first met Buggy? Luffy and Zoro on the wrong beach for when Kuro's men first arrived? Plot armor works both ways. It's still the story that comes first. Even so, yes Crocodile could have avoided Luffy's attack...and maybe even won the fight if he did. But Crocodile is arrogant. Why should a successful pirate and current Warlord think that a rubber rookie is their equal. He CHOSE to meet Luffy's attack head on because of his arrogance.

Lee Tsabiras

holy shit they used Dvorak for this? never knew, this makes the scene so much more epic.

Dojee

One Piece still has THE most plot armor fights in all of Shonen. At any point in that fight Crocodile should have been able to just turn into sand. Just having a little blood on him isn't going to stop him from doing that, it just stops him from disappearing under Luffy's fist. Maybe I'm alone but I REALLY hate it when shows make abilities like Crocodiles. They lay out the rules, state how to counter it and then just completely ignore what they said and just make him not use that ability because its to broken for the story to work the way its supposed to.

Irimu

"this anime needs a better composer" "I know but theyre all dead"

Steven Fechter

Yea, this is definitely an all-timer for me, as far as episodes of any anime go! :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

Not right now. We've gotten strikes on abridged series before, so I won't be tempting fate with those until my current strike is gone... As far as what we watch, it's just stuff that looks like fun to me, and I stay with it if you guys seem to agree.

Spaz Boys Comedy

Like you Curtis I love it when the right people get punched, and I can tell you that you will get to see even more of that as the series progress. This is one of my most favorite anime series to date, and I have even had a blast watching the filler episodes too.

Jinko & Kuko

If you liked the music when Luffy beats Crocodile that piece is called Dvorak Symphony No. 9. Its amazing and one of the rare times the anime doesn't use an ost.

One of my favourite episodes in anime... the fight, the music, the emotion, the characters, Crocodile being a badass, Luffy being an even bigger badass, the feeling that all the characters have been pushed to their absolute limit, how regal Vivi is at the end. It's literally perfect.

Jonathan

k one piece is finished, now let's move on

Also, can you watch Bleach (S) abridged by project mouthwash in your YouTube channel? And related question, how do you decide what videos to watch on YouTube?

vassardog

I love this episode soooo much. The music is fantastic, the rain scene is perfect, and Crocodile’s defeat was satisfying as fuck. Particularly, the moment where Luffy punches through Crocodile’s Desert La Spada (the one that causes the giant crevices x4) with Gomu Gomu no Storm is one of my favorite scenes in all of One Piece (and by that I mean at least in the top 50 lol). 10/10 would Oda again

Johnny Kiehn

The way one piece does emotion in the faces of the characters, especially after pel’s death is incredible.

vassardog

I think the music is from Dvorak's Symphony no. 09. Definitely a great piece, and if fits pretty well with the stuff going on in the episode.

Animangacentre

Man Ive been waiting for so long but the episodes finally up and it was as amazing as it was when I first saw it.

DarkRaven

Alright, I've been waiting for this episode. There is so much to talk about. First off, the classical music choice was incredible, it works way too well for Crocodile's defeat. Second, it's very interesting how Crocodile's defeat consisted of him getting launched into the air. That fits really well considering he's an opponent who uses the ground, aka sand, to primarily attack. Finally, just to give Crocodile some last minute praise, I'd like to point out how for the past 2 years, he has been consistently using his sand powers to prevent rain from falling onto the entire country of Alabasta. That means that all throughout each of his fights with Luffy, Crocodile was using his energy to stop clouds from forming. That's some insane endurance. The only way to stop a devil fruit user's abilities is to either kill them or knock them unconscious, sleeping doesn't count. The abilities still work even if the user is asleep. So crocodile has been stopping the rain even while he was asleep. That was very impressive. Plus, he even had a hidden knife just in case his poison hook broke. This guy was both strong and prepared. Easily the best villain so far.
