if it was me I don't know who I would kill. It would be interesting to have, but a name and a face can be hard to find, most times. One hole I see this story falling into is all the deaths are the same. When you don't need to pick a heart attack. it would be harder if each one was very different.

Someone already probably commented this, but it wasnt L calling him "just a killer" that got light man. It was L calling him "evil"

Ryuk has this bad habit of forgetting to mention important details about the Death Note and its abilities. Makes things a little more fun for him I guess.

Death Note is pretty unique in that you actually follow the villain with the antagonist being the hero. If anyone doubts that Light is the villain, note that he straight up killed an "innocent" (a convict, but Light didn't know that) because he thought they were standing in his way.

Yes, killing who he believes to be a detective merely for badmouthing him is a bit more questionable than killing deathrow criminals or what is close to it. He kills killers. This person was as far as he knew nothing of the sort.

Alot of people forget Light says he will kill his family to not get caught. And light kills what he belives is L a private investigator. Someone who was a innocent person was a kill for light due to ego. He had no idea it was really a convict.

I love the part where L is goading Kira to kill him. It is basically him betting that Kira cannot kill without a certain amount of information, because if he is wrong then L cannot win anyway. I also love how well they show off Light's weaknesses and setup the moral struggle. The whole point that whoever wins basically shows that they are right in every practical sense.
