DID SCHRODINGER & FAT BOY REALLY PULL IT OFF?! - Hellsing Ultimate #10-1

When you’re so used to the good guys winning it’s a shock but also a nice change of pace when they lose or wait 30 years for it to be undone.

Great breakdown! Thanks again, Pal!

Little clarification on the Major's flashback. In the September of 1944 he had a lab in Warsaw, where he and the doctor were tasked with creating a Vampire army for the Nazis. Largely using concentration camp prisoners and Soviet POWs. It was still largely in the testing phase. Walter and Alucard showed up, putting the kibosh on the whole thing. Flash forward to the fall of Berlin, the Major and his SS unit are absolutely slaughtered by the Russians as they overrun the city. At this point and time vampirism is still largely a mystery to Millennium. Their only real knowledge of it coming from the few crude vampires they managed to create through their experiments. (All of which were undoubtedly destroyed when Hellsing attacked the Warsaw lab). That and their brief encounter with Alucard. At this point the Major lies dying and he sees a sight not unlike what Alucard saw when he was first executed by the Turks. Blood flowing towards him offering him to drink and become like his greatest enemy. Of course he knew that would mean giving up his individuality, his humanity, everything that made him who he was. So instead he rejected it, just in time to be rescued by the Doctor and the Captain. If he hadn't rejected vampirism he possibly could've ended up a Vampire as powerful as Alucard himself. But would he have been able to defeat Alucard? As Alucard said himself it takes a man to defeat a monster.

I admit I've not seen the original subbed, I've only seen the dub. "Dub errors?" There was a mistake made in the dialogue?

Imagine if Alucard had tried drinking Schrodinger's blood all the way back during the meeting.

basically Schrodinger forced Alucard to divide by zero...it did not end well.

The solution to the problem of Alucard is so bloody brilliant and creative. Even if the animation and dub errors in this episode bugs the crap out of me, I still absolutely adore Alucard's death scene. Also, I probably don't need to see it, but the Major isn't a coward. The glass was just to make sure he could enjoy his triumph without Integra blowing his cogs out.
