2019-09-03 17:37:18 +0000 UTCA little clarification about what happened in the flashback. Alucard was once Vlad Tepes the 3rd also known as Dracula (the son of the Dragon). His father resisted an invasion of Transylvania by the Ottoman Turks, refusing to pay homage to them. At some point he was captured by the Turks as a hostage to be used against his father. No doubt this is where his hatred of the Turks first stemmed from. In Hellsing they depict this as him being sodomized by a Turk while in captivity. Eventually he would be released and become a powerful Lord in the region of what is now Romania, Hungary and Moldavia. At which point he waged multiple bloody campaigns against the Turks. Eventually he was betrayed by his brother, captured and beheaded. In our story here this is where Alucard finally becomes a Vampire. By drinking blood right before his death.
